Infinite Group, LLC, a Birmingham-based event planning and entertainment company, along with the Coca-Cola Company decided to partner up to bring a concert event that aims to inspire and uplift the Greater Birmingham community.
“We’ve chosen Cathedral of the Cross as our concert venue because we want a family-inviting environment that embraces diversity throughout our community. This is a concert for the masses and everyone is entitled to attend,” said Edmond Watters of Infinite Group, LLC.

Kirk Franklin performs at the Cathedral of the Cross; August 21, 6:00 p.m. Tickets: $20. Tickets available at: www.ticketalternative.com.
Franklin, who has become a popular fixation on the social network Twitter, announced to Gospel Music Channel that he will be taking a hiatus from recording. “I kind of think people are a little tired of me right now. Maybe God Will speak an album through me in 2010,” reported Franklin to Lisa Collins in June. He also reports that the financial crunch of the current recession forced him to put the breaks on his Dallas-based record company Fo Yo Soul Entertainment. “The label went on hold when I saw the industry flip in 2007, and I put the breaks on. We’re not signing artists because there’s no place to put them.”
In the mean time, his schedule remains booked with concerts and another book, The Blueprint, is in progress to be released next year.
The Refresh the Spirit event is sponsored by The Basement, Gospelflava.com, Urbanham Faith, WAGG 610, Kiss FM and Jamz 95.7.
